  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish


  1. Combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl to create the teriyaki marinade.
  2. Place chicken drumsticks in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade halfway through, until the drumsticks are golden and cooked through.
