  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess water. You can do this by wrapping the tofu block in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch to make the stir-fry sauce.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the cubed tofu to the hot skillet and cook until it’s golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and stir-fry the bell peppers, broccoli, and snow peas until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the stir-fry sauce over everything. Stir well to coat all the ingredients with the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
