  • 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
  • 6-8 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

  7. Place the second pie crust over the apples, and trim any excess dough. Seal the edges and crimp as desired.
  8. Brush the top crust with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Make several small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the pie is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  11. Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the filling to set.
